cover to Web of Spider-Man #37

The Happy Hooker

I think I own a copy of this issue, and I’m sure I read it at some point.  While I don’t remember what happens in it, I’ve always been struck by the cover.  It might be sacrilegious to say this, but I’ve always kinda preferred Spidey’s black costume.  I think it might be because that’s what he was wearing when I first started reading Spidey comics.  Or maybe because it symbolized what excited me about Marvel comics as a kid, that they made big, life-altering storytelling choices for their characters.  Regardless, this won’t be the last we’ll see of Spidey’s black costume in my latch hooking projects.
